Please help us spread the word on these community input sessions on post-wildfire recovery for Mendocino National Forest

Dear Partners & Colleagues,

Can you help us spread the word? Next month, the Mendocino National Forest will host a series of community sessions in Chico, Red Bluff, Upper Lake and Covelo to gather public input on prioritizing post-wildfire recovery. We need your help to reach communities with this information.

Here are three ways you can help:

1.    Post a Flyer. Consider printing and posting a flyer at your front office, local businesses (e.g., hardware store, gas station) and community areas (e.g., library). Attached are both English and Spanish language versions of the flyers for the east and west side locations.

Live, Work, Play: Creating a Shared Vision for Post-Wildfire Recovery on the Mendocino National Forest

What does a healthy, vibrant forest mean to you? During November, the Mendocino National Forest is hosting a series of community sessions to gather public input on the places and activities you care about most — like camping, off-road riding, hunting, fishing, collecting firewood, or simply taking care of the land. Your feedback will inform a shared vision for restoration efforts after severe wildfires.

Sessions will be held in Chico (11/8), Red Bluff (11/9), Upper Lake (11/27), and Covelo (11/28). Stop by between 5–7:30 p.m. for guided interactive sessions, and bring the kids for fun activities and to meet Smokey Bear! No registration is required.
