Unit Renewal Process Now Open

Completing the "Unit Renewal" process confirms that the unit plans to continue to operating in 2025 under the same chartered organization. It's a simple process that just indicates the unit will continue and who the leaders are at the time of renewal (units can change leaders anytime during the year). The process is also a good opportunity to make sure all adult leadership is current with their youth protection training (YPT) and PA clearances (if applicable). With proper preparation, this process should take less than 10 minutes.

Remember that individual youth or adult members renew their membership in a separate process called "Membership Renewal".

It is important that units take steps to complete their "Unit Renewal" now. This will allow the "Membership Renewal" process for their youth and adult members to work seamlessly. The deadline for "Unit Renewal" is December 31.

To be of assistance, the council has put together a Renewal Help website with the tips and suggestions for both "Unit Renewal" and "Membership Renewal" in one place.
