"We love because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19
Three sisters find their forever home
When three little girls lost their father to disease, and their mother died in childbirth, they were in danger of becoming victims of extreme poverty, like so many children in Sierra Leone. The Child Reintegration Centre stepped in, and today Aminata, Memunatu and Hawa are thriving and happy in a new home with their beloved aunt. Read their story in our Spring 2020 magazine , p lus

Girl Scout troop assembles layette kits for Mercy Hospital maternity ward
Local Girl Scout Troop 3327, led by parent volunteer Jenny Bradshaw, assembled 90 layette kits for Mercy Hospital's maternity ward.  Every woman who gives birth at the hospital receives a layette kit, including two each of cloth diapers, shirts or onesies, washcloths, diaper pins, and one receiving blanket. The layette items were donated through Floris United Methodist Church's alternative giving initiative this past Christmas. The kits are deeply appreciated by the women who give birth at Mercy, most of whom have very little money. We are grateful to Troop 3327 and Floris UMC for their generous donation of time and materials. Matthew 25:34-36

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
Momodu carries the mattress the CRC gave him and his brother Momoh to start their new home life with their Auntie Betty.
