Helping HIV Long-Term Survivors this GivingTuesday, November 28

GivingTuesday was created 11 years ago as a simple idea—a day that encourages people to do good. Whether it’s by reaching out to a friend or family member who you haven’t spoken to in a while, helping a neighbor, making someone smile, or giving to causes we care about—everyone has something to give. And every act of generosity counts.

As the saying goes, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” While it may seem daunting, it’s really not. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others, and is a fundamental human value anyone can act on.

GivingTuesday “is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” The Reunion Project, the alliance of HIV long-term survivors, is all about community. Through our events and programs, we provide a safe space for long-term survivors to gather and share their stories of survival, break down stigma, and provide tools and resources to live healthier with HIV long-term. The Reunion Project also advocates for changes in policy that will improve the quality of life for people living and aging with HIV.

So, whether you extend a helping hand or a smile, offer to volunteer, or decide to donate to a cause, please know that whatever you do makes a difference—because you are the change.

And we could not do this without you.

With gratitude from all of us at The Reunion Project.
