Alumni Spotlight

This month's spotlight is on Mind-Builders alumni Ayodele Casel!

Ayodele Casel is not only an award-winning tap dancer and choreographer, but also a Mind-Builders Positive Youth Troupe (PYT) Alumna! She is known more recently for choreographing the hit Broadway show, Funny Girl and teaching actress Lea Michele how to tap dance. Our staff member Karen Seymour recently saw Funny Girl and was absolutely blown away by the choreography.

If you are interested in watching Ayodele in action, don't miss her new show "Chasing Magic" at The Joyce Theater! She'll be performing from November 2- November 13

Best of Luck Ayodele!

Harvest Fest

Our young Mind-Builders had the thrill of their lives during Harvest Fest last Friday. They went through our haunted house, painted pumpkins, ate snacks and of course, left with candy.

Families had another chance to meet their child(ren)'s instructors on Zoom during our Mind-Builders Parent Orientation and Faculty Meet & Greet.

Updated Mask Policy

As our Fall/Spring Season begins next week, we have re-evaluated our mask wearing policy. Masks are now optional for students, staff, and visitors according to your preference. We will continue to monitor local, state, and CDC guidelines and update our COVID-19 safety protocols as necessary to ensure everyone’s safety at Mind-Builders.

$5/hr Dance Rehearsal Space at Mind-Builders!

Spread The Word!

Did you know that Mind-Builders received funding from Dance/NYC to provide subsidized dance rehearsal space? The funding allows us to provide $5/hr (2 hr minimum) private studio space! We believe this is an amazing opportunity for dancers in our community to have a safe, comfortable and most importantly, affordable space to practice their forms of movement. So if you know anyone that can benefit from this, please share this information with them. We really want our community to take advantage of this opportunity.
