Amidst the COVID crisis in Cambodia, the price of food and other commodities has increased substantially due to inflation, followed by an economic downturn. Consequently, many Cambodians, including churchgoers, are leaving their homes and families in search of employment in the cities or emigrating to neighboring countries like Thailand to support their loved ones.
To tackle this issue, CCI Cambodia has introduced a new activity called FAITH gardening (Food Always In The Home), which teaches pastors and churches various techniques on how to farm around their churches and homes. The objective is to help them improve their livelihoods and reduce their daily expenses.
To assist, CCI Cambodia provided farming training on June 9-10 to 14 churches in Bantay Meanchey, with the hope of empowering them to become self-sufficient and economically stable.
