Navigating Trends and Transitions in Family Philanthropy

Are your clients thinking through family philanthropy?  Family foundations and funds serve two purposes - to fulfill a philanthropic mission and to keep family members connected to each other and family legacy. Fulfilling those intertwined purposes isn't easy over time. Current trends in society and philanthropy will challenge both purposes. Families' goals for both will inevitably evolve. And the initial decisions families and their advisors make about giving vehicles, governance, family engagement, and operations often aren't useful as new generations emerge.

Presenter:  Tony Macklin, CAPĀ® is an independent consultant working at the intersection of meaningful giving and community results. He serves as a member of the Purposeful Planning Institute and the National Center for Family Philanthropy.
