For many young people in San Francisco, heading back to school can feel overwhelming with new expectations, shifting routines, and the pressure to stay on track. At 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic, we make sure youth don’t have to face these transitions alone. From walk-in health services to counseling, housing support, and youth development programs, we provide consistent points of connection that help young people feel confident, prepared, and seen.

Safe Sex Summer Series

Big thanks to everyone who joined us for our Safe Sex Summer Series! Across all three events, youth came together for powerful workshops, engaging games, delicious food, and supportive spaces to learn, connect, and take charge of their health. A special thank you to our partners: Huckleberry Youth Programs, Black Women Revolt, LYRIC, Rafiki Coalition, YUTHE, and UCSF AHP for making this series possible.

Health Core & SHEP Graduation

Big congrats to our incredible SHEP and Health Core graduates! This month, we celebrated the end of cohort one with a joint graduation ceremony alongside our Summer Health Education Program (SHEP) youth. Each participant received a certificate and a medical starter kit to honor their journey.

Most of our fellows also completed 8-week internships in health-related fields, putting their workshop knowledge into practice through hands-on experience. It’s so inspiring to see our youth step into their power with real skills, renewed confidence, and a clear vision for their future!
