STRATEGIC PLANNING
A great education—one that is grounded in faith, academic rigor, servant-leadership, and relationships is at the heart of our mission. We take this responsibility seriously and are working hard to make sure our students graduate with the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need, and that our educators are equipped to best support all our students. We feel that the timing and conditions are right to define our vision for the next 3 to 5 years and have started a strategic planning process for our school.

As Bishop Hartley moves forward and a new administrative team prepares to take the lead, we have kicked off a strategic planning process to help us develop a plan as we move forward.

The process will include a variety of Hartley stakeholders: leadership, teachers, students, parents & families, alumni, and the larger community through focus groups, discussion forums, and a survey. Everyone's voice matters, and we hope you'll take the opportunity to provide your feedback.
RESA
Congratulations to our teachers who recently passed the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) as part of their teacher licensure process. Pictured are (left to right) David Giesler, Maria Barber, Melanie Batty, Emma Miller, Kailey Brochowski, and Chris Blum.
PROM TICKETS
Tickets for the seniors-only May 15 prom event are on sale now. Seniors may purchase tickets during their lunch period.

The event will be held at Bishop Hartley in the Courtyard (weather permitting) and either the Dick Geyer Gymnasium or the TACC.

Tickets are $40 each and include appetizers, dinner, dessert, music, and entertainment.
HPO STYLE SHOW
Traditionally, the House Parent Organization (HPO) hosts a spring style show featuring the latest prom fashions. COVID restrictions and protocols meant that we had to switch to a virtual event this year. Our 40 student models and their parents will participate in a “Premier Event” this Saturday to see the finished product. Stay tuned for updates as we will post the virtual show to the Bishop Hartley YouTube page after the Premier.

For those who have always enjoyed the Style Show raffle, we will have a limited number of baskets and will sell tickets for a chance to win. The virtual raffle will take place in the two weeks following the event. Watch this newsletter and our social media accounts for details!
GRANDPARENTS DAY
COVID social distancing requirements made it impossible for us to host our annual Grandparents Day safely this year. To continue to stay connected with our Grandparents, students made cards in their English classes which have been mailed. We will celebrate Mass on April 16 to honor all Grandparents in the Bishop Hartley community, and look forward to events in future years.
USED UNIFORMS
The House Parent Organization (HPO) is planning to offer used uniforms for sale to incoming families at our Soaring Night Event May 2nd. We have several uniforms that were donated last year and others which have accumulated in lost and found over several years.

If you have uniforms that you will no longer need (seniors) or that your student has outgrown that you are willing to donate to the sale, please send them to school to the attention of Molly Maloof, the HPO faculty liaison (room 306).

We will offer any items remaining to current students after the Soaring Night event.

Bishop Hartley alumna, Grace Morbitzer (2016), owner of The Modern Saints by Gracie, recently delivered beautiful prints to be hung in the school, including one of our patron saint, James the Greater. Click the business name above to see Grace’s beautiful work or to place an order.
