Celebrate high school seniors as they share their successful college admissions essays with the audience. After the essay readings, experts from CTK College Coach: Christina Taber-Kewene, Rachel Fisher, and Stephanie Nasteff-Pilato will take questions and provide college application tips.

RAW / CRUDO - POETRY READING WITH TEEN POET, ANDREA ROSARIO TAPIA VILLAMIL

Tweens, teens, and adults are invited to this honest and raw poetry reading by 15 year old author and former Maplewood resident about her experiences living in Bolivia and Columbia.

Teen author and poet Andrea Rosario Tapia Villamil grew up in Maplewood, attended Seth Boyden School, then moved to Bolivia with her family. She currently lives in Columbia, South America where she now attends high school.

LET'S PLAY AMONG US

Wednesday, June 24 / 3:30-4:30 (Main Library)

In Among Us, players are crewmates on a space mission, carrying out maintenance tasks on a ship. However, at least a few crewmates aren't crewmates at all, but Impostors, who will eat unsuspecting players. Throughout the mission, crewmates must vote on who is an Impostor and eject them from the ship.

We will be playing on Nintendo Switch. If you have your own Switch, feel free to bring it to the event to play on local wifi. Additional JoyCon controllers will be available as well. Up to 8 players may join the game at once, so if there are more than 8, we will take turns.

BROWN BAG BOOK SWAP: LGBTQ+

At this book swap, give the gift of a beloved fiction or nonfiction book by or about LGBTQ+ people. Participants should bring just one book to swap. When registering for the event or on the day of, share 2-3 sentences about why this book is excellent and/or the kind of person who might like this book. Ms. Ayoola will put participants' books in paper bags, along with some bonus books, and we'll let the swapping begin!
