On June 18, BioInc hosted the125K Fifth International Pitch Competition, organized by Aquillius and Big Tree Innovation Fund. The competition felt a little like the World Cup ⚽. Close to 150 attendees, in-person and online, hailing from across the world, heard 17 five-minute pitches describing groundbreaking innovations in biotech, pharma and healthtech.

The winners, all of whom graduated from the Big Tree Startup Academy, were:

🥇 1st Place: Hyivy Health

🥈 2nd Place: Diapin Therapeutics Inc

🥉 3rd Place (tie): CARI Health and AsparaGlue

The team would like to congratulate the winners! We invite you to read a full report here.

Save the date! The next pitch competition will take place on November 12, 2026!

Building the BioInc Ecosystem

The pitch competition is our marquee event. Although our ecosystem has a global reach, the local presence is critical to our success. It was gratifying to see the representatives from Town of Mansfield and The 495/Metrowest Partnership, two key local economic development organizations, attend the pitch competition, demonstrating the local buy-in to help attract more life science companies to our facility and the greater Mansfield area.

The month of June featured another key activity aiming to grow BioInc's reach.

On June 8, Alexander Margulis, BioInc's COO, conducted a table show at Startup Boston showcase. The event featured dozens of accelerators and incubators and attracted many promising startups, including Immunoscript, our newest member we had met there.

Finally, in addition to Immunoscript we welcomed more companies to our incubator, all of whom participated in our pitch competition.

MiRNDa - Markers that Can Detect Cancers at an Early Stage.

Hiba Therapeutics - Pioneering Programmable, Modular & Engineered Molecules that Unlock the Vast Anti-Tumor Potential of Tissue Resident T Cells.
