Seeking a Few Good Life Science Companies

NEW MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT: A deeply discounted day laboratory pass for Basic Business, and Associate Membership levels at $250 (the regular price is $800).

If you are seeking high-quality laboratory space outside the congestion and constraints of Boston/Cambridge, we currently offer shared lab spaces and two (2) BSL-1 and one (1) BSL-2 private lab spaces available.

In addition, we have an impressive arsenal of high-end analytical instruments—from Raman and FTIR spectroscopy to atomic force microscopy, flow cytometry, automated cell imaging, and more.

While contract laboratories perform excellent work and allow small startups to save time and (sometimes) money, in many cases, it is much more advantageous to perform the work yourself, both time-wise and financially. You don’t simply receive a report: you see how the test behaves, notice the anomalies, adjust the experiment, and develop a much better feel for what the results actually mean.

Come to our lab space, perform your own analytical work, and pay a fraction of what contract laboratories may charge—while gaining a far better understanding of your results. And now, you can even utilize our facility on a per diem basis.

Here is the partial equipment list:

See the full equipment list here.

Other amenities include a high-speed internet, large breakroom/event space with a kitchenette and a ping pong table, conference and meeting rooms, shared and private offices.

However, we are more than just a lab space. We are a community consisting of more than 60 companies.

By becoming a member, you will be a full-fledged part of Massachusetts life science community with plenty of benefits, including the membership in trade organizations, discounts for bootcamps and masterclasses, free investor-grade evaluation and placement to the investor portal for qualified companies, opportunity to participate in pitch competition, etc.

Is Your Website Accessible to Everyone, Including Investors?

Your website is often the first impression investors, business partners, and potential employees have of your company. But is it accessible to everyone?

Website accessibility is becoming increasingly important, particularly for startups and growing life-science companies. An inaccessible website may limit your business opportunities and expose your company to potential legal risks.

Graduate Company News

VeraMorph, our graduate company developing an oral dosage of fulvestrant, a targeted hormone therapy used to treat hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer, has a trifecta of positive news (see the press release here).

First, using funds from an SBIR Phase I grant sponsored by the NIH, VeraMorph recently replicated results indicating non-inferior efficacy of oral fulvestrant relative to the approved injectable product in orthotopic and metastatic models of ER+ breast cancer. Based on these positive results, VeraMorph has received a $2.1M NIH SBIR Phase II grant in order to complete remaining IND-enabling studies on oral fulvestrant as well as PDX studies to generate additional preclinical proof of concept data.

Second, during a pre-IND meeting, the FDA conveyed openness to the proposed clinical strategy to develop a dosage strength of oral fulvestrant that achieves an equivalent area under the curve (AUC) over 28 days relative to the approved monthly injectable product. The proposed clinical strategy comprises an initial dose range finding study, a PK bridging study, and an additional safety study given the new route of administration and use of a novel excipient.

Finally, VeraMorph strengthened the leadership by adding Daniel O’Connor as the company’s CEO, while founder Doug Godfrin has transitioned to President and CTO. Dan is the former chief strategy officer (CSO) of Eagle Pharmaceuticals, where he spearheaded the development of an FDA New Drug Application (NDA) filing of a novel intramuscular (IM) injection of fulvestrant.

Taken together, VeraMorph is well-positioned to bring oral fulvestrant into the clinic in 2027. Mansfield Bio-Incubator's team congratulates Veramorph on the recent success!

Appreciation!

Our profound appreciation to our donors and sponsors.
Thank you!
