Manages a portfolio of recruiting events designed to create opportunities for students to foster meaningful connections with industry and alumni. Serves as the initial point of contact for employers seeking to recruit UCSC students and liaises with administrators and staff to collaboratively develop and execute a campus engagement strategy with companies, organizations, and alumni across all industries. Provides consultation and leads coordinated efforts to meet employer recruitment needs and enables students from all majors to discover and prepare for career pathways. Provides event planning consultation to the career success team as they curate industry-specific experiences and connections for students. Serves as a critical member of the marketing team and may supervise student employees in executing marketing strategy.

Coordinates staff recruitments, performs fund entry, maintains electronic files, and the organization toolkit. Provides support to managers and supervisors on a variety of human resources policies and procedures of moderate scope and complexity.

Provides administrative support for the Music Department undergraduate and graduate programs, and general administrative support to the Department Manager.
Includes front desk receptionist duties, maintaining department offices, supporting graduate and undergraduate program needs, supporting human resources processes and personnel actions as directed by the Department Manager, event assistance, record-keeping, maintaining public facing information, department records and databases, and processing payments and travel reimbursements as needed.

Responsible for the administration, configuration, and management of our organization's Google Workspace environment, ensuring that it meets the needs of our users and supports business operations.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA)
If you lost your job or cannot work because of a natural disaster, you may be eligible to file for federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance benefits as part of a new federal disaster benefits declaration.

Applications for DUA benefits must be filed by May 15, 2023 (unless the individual has good cause to file a late application).

Scholarship Program for Housing Authority or New Horizons Participants

The New Horizons Scholarship Program is available to active participants of rental assistance programs administered by the Housing Authority or residents of a New Horizons or Housing Authority owned or controlled property.

Deadline to apply is May 31, 2023.

Paid Family Leave (PFL) for Fathers
If you're a new or expecting father, click here to learn about Paid Family Leave (PFL).

Whether California fathers need time to bond with a new child, care for a seriously ill family member, or participate in a qualifying event due to a family member’s military deployment, they can be there for the moments that matter most with the PFL program.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
The SCSEP program strives to assist mature workers (55+) in their search for employment by providing guidance, direction and resources to help them in their endeavors. Volunteer Opportunities
One-to-One Mentor
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Cruz County is looking for one-to-one mentors to volunteer a few hours, 2-4 times a month, to mentor a child/youth that just needs a friend.

COVID-19 Resources
Disability Insurance (DI) benefits may be available for individuals that have experienced wage loss due to COVID-19 exposure. 

Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits, if you have to care for an ill or quarantined family member. 

Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits, if your child's school is closed and you have to miss work to be there for your child or if your hours have been reduced due to COVID-19.
