Performs varied and responsible secretarial and administrative assistant duties to relieve the administrator of details relative to clerical procedures and methods and budget preparation and control; plans, coordinates and organizes office activities; coordinates flow of communications for the administrator; and trains and provides work direction and guidance to assigned clerical staff.
Performs routine custodial and grounds cleanup at school and related facilities. Requires general knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in custodial care and regular facilities maintenance. Requires thorough understanding of the buildings and grounds of the assigned site. Must have a good knowledge of work hazards and safety procedures. Requires some knowledge of chemical reactions.
Follows well-defined guidelines, policies and written procedures. Exercises patience, tolerance and objectivity when working with individuals or groups of students. Uses judgment to determine students’ needs and when to seek assistance from an instructor or other staff.
Participates in a training program to qualify for a School Bus Driver’s Certificate; learns to operate a school bus or other passenger vehicle over designated routes within an established time schedule; performs daily and weekly inspections of bus or other transportation equipment; perform simple vehicle maintenance as required.

Meals on Wheels is looking for friendly and dedicated individuals to deliver meals to homebound seniors. As a volunteer, you can help provide meals to seniors at their residences using your personal vehicle. Routes take approx. 45 min. to 1 hour.
