"IMAGES" Photographic Art Gallery
January 2021
Dear friends,
Welcome to my monthly "PHOTOBLOG" newsletter, which I have been publishing for several years and have enjoyed sending to friends and clients in order to keep them informed of my current photographic interests, new works, upcoming exhibits and other Gallery events.
A new "subject" is at the center of each Newsletter, with which I present a short series of pertinent images along with any needed description and details, in order to allow my viewers to become more actively part of the discussion.
Most of the imagery displayed will be eventually on view at "IMAGES" Art Gallery, 14406 Detroit Rd., Lakewood, and of course I always welcome anyone's comments and interest in my work; the Gallery remains open these days, in spite of the current unfavorable circumstances, and I would be very happy to extend to all an invitation to contact us so that a personal "safe" time for a visit could be conveniently arranged.
Any of these and other images could be custom printed/framed and become part of your art collection, based on your specifications and desires.
Over the years my recipients list has gradually grown, thanks to your interest and support, and I encourage you to share this "PHOTOBLOG" with friends and art lovers in your circles.
More of my photography on view at www.mellinophotography.com.
A sincere "thank you" for your interested attention,
Marcello Mellino.
In a few days a New Year will be upon us all, finally leaving behind the most horrific, frightening and disruptive 12 months humanity has had to deal with in the longest time!
I thus felt compelled to look "out my window", so to speak, to finally see some of the beauty Nature will no doubt bring back to us soon, with all its colors and extraordinary features which we too often seem to not fully appreciate, while in the midst of the daily distractive routines.
These are simple moments and images not extraordinary, but just soothing reflections of the world around us...
A Butterfly landing on a summer flower, and the morning dew still coating my garden flowers; below, the slow change of colors leading to Autumn. A sepia floral composition with three calla lilies, next to an assembly of geranium pots seen on a trip to the Puglia region years ago. Simple beauties of Nature...
The Ohio countryside captured above, in Summer and Autumn, with in between two vibrant images of the Tuscan region, with its vineyards and old farmhouses.
The rustic chair belonged to an Amish farmer, however!
To all my best wishes for a safe, very healthy, enjoyable, productive and creative New Year!
Let's welcome 2021 with a positive and determined attitude, since we will all need strength, patience and faith to again find our direction and reach our goals.
So...let's do it!

Until we safely meet again, hopefully in person,
ciao! Marcello.

A quiet summer moment back in the garden: yes, it will happen again, we hope, as we gradually come out of this long tunnel which has defined essentially everything in our lives throughout 2020.
Spring will soon be "around the corner", with its glorious blossoms and all the new beginnings. I hope to find again the time to "smell the roses", so to speak...as well as for long walks along the ocean somewhere in the Fall.
