The song that's still connecting us
Last October marked the 50th anniversary US release date of the Beatle's Abbey Road album. While this may not come as a huge surprise to fans, what IS surprising is which Beatle's songs are most popular with newer audiences. In 2016, Spotify determined that among top Beatle's tracks, Here Comes The Sun was #1 with those under age 17, and #2 with ages 18-24. Thanks, George Harrison, for writing something so uplifting and inspirational that it endures far beyond 1969.

Enjoy Brandon Ridenour's version of Here Come the Sun on trumpet
Trumpeter Brandon Ridenour delighted our audience as soloist during last October's Phil concert. After the concert, Brandon sold all the cds he brought with him of his album, Come Together , which was created to honor the 50th anniversary of the song of the same name, written by John Lennon. As he explains: With a little help from my friends and some of the greatest songs ever written, I'd like to reignite this message to the world.

According to Brandon's website, beginning this month, all proceeds from Come Together will go toward Coronavirus relief and research efforts. more information
