INFO TO KNOW:
6th Annual REALTOR ® -LEGISLATOR Breakfast on Thursday, October 3, 9am-10:30am at GLAR. U.S Congressman Michael Burgess, Senators Jane Nelson and Pat Fallon, and State Representatives Tan Parker, Lynn Stucky, Jared Patterson, and Michelle Beckley will share the "state of the state", and Moderator/REALTOR Brooke Hunt will be sharing our concerns re REALTOR ® and Homeowner issues. Catered breakfast; no charge to attend. Open to your clients, customers, neighbors. Seating is first come-first served. Know your legislation; know your Legislators!!

Election for new 2020 Board of Director members will be by paper ballot at our October 3 Legislative Breakfast. Nominating Committee Chair Mary Doane and Committee Members emailed our Slate on September 5, 2019, notifying members of paper ballot vote on October 3, 2019. Names put forth were:

2020 Director - Charlotte Finley (2nd Term), Keller Williams (& 2020 Community Services Vice Chair)

Thank you to Education Chair Steve Etzel and GLAR Board of Director Member Glynn Mosier for our 7th issue of "Real Estate Pros in the Know" podcast - "Understanding Home Warranties" . The monthly podcasts are cataloged at www.glar.com and distributed to Members for them to use as a resource to educate their clients/contacts on real estate issues. REALTORS® know this community, know the city leaders, know the economic growth, and are EXPERTS about our town(s). We have the MOST accurate real estate information for living in this area. We want to ensure our community is aware.

We additionally have begun a new monthly series called "Eye on Education" . Each month, Education Chair Steve Etzel will take one paragraph of the 1-4 Contract and highlight "need to know; need to be aware of" items. Quick read to ensure our REALTORS properly execute the contract well. Another educational resource from GLAR!
SAVE-THE-DATES
5th Annual REALTORS Back the Responders on Friday, October 25,11:30am-1:00pm at Garden Ridge Church of Christ on Garden Ridge & Cross Timbers (center of town). First Responders from LV, HV, FM, Bartonville, and Double Oak are invited as our guests for lunch. Members pay $8 for "REALTORS Back the Responders" tshirt, plus lunch. Take a selfie with a First Responder so we can promote their service to our residents, and send to [email protected] . Celebration of REALTORS and Installation of 2020 Board of Directors on Thursday, December 12, 9am-10:30am, Courtyard by Marriott in FloMo, FUN morning as fellow members reflect on all events and happenings at GLAR during 2019. Animated skits, scrumptious breakfast, schmoozing with like-minded professionals, gift cards for the most lively table, and much more! Bill Anderson will be installed as our 2020 President, along with our other 21 Board of Director members. Our theme: " Fighting for our Future". There is a creative reason to name it this - come find out!

Stacy Stoltz, Stewart Title-Shawn P. Black and Associates
Serving others is at the heart of what Stacy does. It is the common thread running through her long and varied career path: from flight attendant to showroom manager to Special Ed teacher. Taking the time to understand the needs of others, treating them as she would want to be treated and maintaining a poised, professional demeanor - this is Stacy's formula for success in the world.
She was raised in Arkansas and graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and a minor in Marketing. Stacy has been the Business Development Director for Stewart Title- Shawn P. Black and Associates for the past two years. She initially worked for Shawn as an Escrow Assistant, which gave her an in-depth look at title transactions. “As the face for our title company, I’m immersed in marketing, networking, customer relations, advertising, event planning and community involvement, and I love it!" Stacy says. With fine-tuned people skills, she enjoys connecting lenders, mortgage loan officers and REALTORS with the experienced staff of Escrow Officers, so they can provide top-notch service for their clients. Stacy says about her position. “One of the best things about my job is being able to plug into our community and give back through organizations such as GLAR, Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and various women’s groups.”

Membership:

2020 Membership Dues will be sent out this month.

While MLS is paid quarterly, dues (for NAR, TAR and GLAR) are paid annually in advance of the beginning of the year. Watch your email for your invoice.

Remember, those joining in the last quarter will pay the amount due until the end of the year when membership is set up and ALSO be billed for 2020 separately until December, when 2020 dues will be payable at the time of application.

Did you know that all the documents I have written for MLS classes are available 24/7 on our website? Put together the individual PDF files to create your own MLS "How To" book. Additionally there are several videos through your YouTube channel with help for using the MLS.

Remember - we do not keep credit card numbers on file. Click to pay online after you receive your invoice.

If you need your GLAR Member ID number, click on the "Forgot your ID". You must use your email address as registered with GLAR and shown in the MLS.

To avoid unnecessary late fees, be sure to check your email and contact me if you have any billing questions. We appreciate your membership!

Very Important Update!
Apple released a new operating system, iOS 13, for iPhones & iPads, on September 19th. A NEW VERSION of Supra eKEY app ( version 5.1.0.223) is now available in the Apple app store.
Please UPDATE your eKEY app to this new version BEFORE you update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13.
You may not be able to access keyboxes if you use a previous version of the eKEY app with iOS 13.
 
To update to the newest version of the eKEY app:
1.       Go to your iPhone or iPad home screen and tap the App Store icon
2.       Tap the Updates icon in the bottom right of the screen
3.       Scroll to locate the eKEY app and select Update or select Update All at the top of the screen to update all of your apps.
