Farewell and Happy Retirement to Steve Connors

Steve Connors and grandchildren

After ten incredible years as our Community Engagement Manager, Steve Connors is retiring from his staff role at the Westport River Watershed Alliance.

Steve brought decades of experience, creativity, and warmth to WRWA. From curating our newsletters and managing media to planning countless special events, his work has helped shape the way we connect with our community. Known for his easygoing nature, sense of humor, and welcoming spirit, Steve has left a lasting impression on all of us. His presence in the office and at community events will be dearly missed.

While we’ll miss seeing him every day, we’re happy to know that Steve is looking forward to spending more time with his children and grandchildren—something he cherishes deeply. Thankfully, this isn’t a full goodbye! Steve will continue to lend his talents to WRWA as a contractor, helping with events and keeping his deep connection to our mission alive.

Please join us in wishing Steve a joyful and fulfilling retirement—and in thanking him for his many years of service and friendship.

WRWA Summer Concert

Featuring Quinn Sullivan

Quinn Sullivan

We are thrilled to welcome New Bedford native and guitar sensation Quinn Sullivan to the stage on Saturday, July 12 for our 9th Annual Summer Concert at the scenic Westport Rivers Vineyard. A highlight of the summer season, this beloved outdoor concert is expected to sell out—so don’t wait to grab your tickets!

Each year, WRWA’s Summer Concert delivers an unforgettable night of live music in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets, or enjoy the provided row seating and picnic tables. With its gently sloping lawn, the vineyard offers excellent views from every angle. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, and popular food trucks will be on-site serving up hot, delicious fare. Please note: outside food and beverages are not permitted.

About the Artist: Quinn Sullivan made waves in the music world at just eight years old when he performed alongside blues legend Buddy Guy. Today, this gifted guitarist and vocalist from New Bedford leads a powerhouse band of seasoned professionals. Quinn’s electrifying performances have earned him comparisons to icons like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, and Jimi Hendrix.
