President's Message
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” – how many times have you heard that refrain since the day after Thanksgiving?!?!?!?! While I am a huge fan of this time of the year, it also tends to be hectic, a little frantic, and sometimes a (lot) frustrating. The hustle, the bustle, the “do I have all the decorations up; did I bake enough; did I get enough of/did I buy the right presents for everyone on my list” – all this in addition to the responsibility for events you are planning, the holiday parties you are attending, ensuring that year end work is being completed, and finding just the right holiday station on Sirius radio. Yikes – that sounds like such a long and daunting list. more

Spotlight on Kelsey Winters
Meet Kelsey Winters, a graduating senior from Goshen College. Kelsey is combining her love for theater with the event planning process while also juggling a teaching assistant position on top of earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Peace, Justice and Conflict studies with a Business minor. The Student Development Action Team had the chance to meet Kelsey at the November Educational Forum, which she was able to attend with the support of her supervisor as an ACCED-I member. We followed up with Kelsey after the Forum to learn more about her student experience in event planning.   more
