What is a Discipleship Journal?

This discipleship journal is designed to help you establish a rhythm of daily living that is focused on God's Word and consistent with Zion DL's vision of "Discipleship is Life." The journal will (generally) follow along with our sermon series, weekly reading plan, and Discipleship Hour topics.

On Monday, January 15th at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall we will have President Finnern here to explain the call process plus the roles and steps for Zion and the District. It will be a chance for you to ask any questions that you may have.

We have set up a Zoom option for those that want to attend but are unable to be there in person. Please use the below link to access the meeting on Monday:

Critter Dinner 2024

🌽 Howdy y'all! 🤠

Join us for a hootin' and hollerin' good time at Zion DL on January 14th from 4pm-7pm! Bring your favorite "critter" dish to share and mosey on down to the cement pond (aka fellowship hall). And don't you dare forget to dust off them cowboy boots and wear your snazziest Beverly Hillbilly outfit - we're fixin' for a grand ol' time! Prizes to be won for best costume and best dish, and more!

🎉 Let's gather 'round, swap tales, and enjoy some vittles together. It's gonna be a rootin' tootin' blast, so mark your calendars and come on down, ya hear?

Guatemala Mission Trip August 2-8, 2024

It's time to embark on a mission trip to Guatemala to build a house for a family in need August 2-8, 2024!

With the generous donation from Partners of Ministry and the matching pledge - We have reached our goal of building a house in Guatemala!!!

On Tuesday, the staff had their final devotion with Senior Pastor Guy Roberts. We wish you and your family the best at Peace Lutheran in Arvada, CO. We also were able to celebrate together as a staff on January 11th with a Christmas party.

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

The Wednesday morning Bible Study group will be focusing on Temptation beginning after Thanksgiving. It will be centered around the fiction book "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis.

Copies are available in the church office if you would like to have one. Bible Study meets every Wednesday at 10AM in the Fellowship Hall at Zion Lutheran Church.

About The Screwtape Letters:

Written in defense of Christian faith, this popular satire consists of a series of 31 letters in which Screwtape, an experienced devil, instructs his young charge, Wormwood, on effective strategies for tempting the human being assigned to him and making sure he continues on a steady path toward damnation.

Becker County Food Pantry

The new location for the Becker County Food Pantry is now open at 610 Terry Street.

They are looking for volunteers. Some of their regular volunteers are snowbirds heading south after Christmas. This is a great opportunity to serve! Call 218.846.0143 or Alissa at 763.242.4038 if you are interested!

FARGO PACK THE DOME!

Join a two-hour packing shift to have the most fun you’ll ever have in a hair net! Anyone over the age of 5 can join us. Sign up as an individual, family, or large organization.

Specialized Volunteers are made up of three teams: Welcome Team, Floor Monitors & Specialized Warehouse. A specialized volunteer shift ranges from 3 to 4 hours.
