Thanks To Everyone Who Supported The Run For Woods!
The 8th Annual Run for Woods, sponsored by Faulkner-Ciocca Dealerships was one to remember -- and not just because of the rain! Our supporters raised over $258,000; that's a record as the most successful run EVER!

There are so many people to thank. Everyone who braved the elements brought such energy and joy. Our donors and sponsors were exceptional in 2022. As were our volunteers!

Woods Hosts Health and Human Services Director
Dr. Ala Stanford, Director for Region III of the Department of Health and Human Services, recently visited us! You may recognize the name. Dr. Stanford founded the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium, a crucial effort to address the pandemic in Philadelphia communities typically underserved by health care.

During her visit, we toured all of campus, including our medical center dedicated to providing innovative and integrated primary care and behavioral healthcare to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who also have complex and intensive medical and behavioral healthcare needs. We were honored to have Dr. Stanford with us and look forward to future collaborations that improve care and outcomes for people with IDD.

Penn Community Bank Volunteer Day Comes To Woods
On May 25, our friends at Penn Community Bank paid us a visit as a part of their first-ever day of service. We are beyond honored to be a part of the event. 14 of their staff met at the gazebo behind our Brookwood building, learned about our mission, and then grabbed buckets of stain and gave the structure new life!

The bank also made a generous donation of $10,000 to support Woods Greatest Need!

So It's Root, Root, Root For The Phillies
Woods clinicians took some time in June to do a little bit of team bonding as a part of Mental Health Awareness Month. They caught a Phillies game, luckily, just as the Fightin' Phil offense was getting hot. We hope they had a wonderful time together, and we are so appreciative of how they continually step up to the plate for our residents!
