WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS - July 3, 2026

Maker’s Circle

Gather with others for creativity, conversation, and community. Bring your own craft project—knitting, sewing, quilting, needlework, scrapbooking, or any creative endeavor—and enjoy time together as we share ideas, encouragement, and friendship. If you don’t have a project but you like to sew, our school has a project for you! Heather Vaughn has 40 hats which need fabric patches with the school logo hand sewn onto them. You may want to bring your own needle and thread for this project.

Maker’s Circle meets twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in the Parish Hall from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.

Good Shepherd Food Pantry Needs Your Help

This week our Food Pantry served 63 families with 210 people. Let's begin with a HUGE thank you for all the donations!!! We re-filled our shelves on Sunday - and even more came in throughout the week! The support we receive from this community is extraordinary!

And we need it!!!  Once again we went through all the produce and most of the bread and pastries, but thankfully we have a healthy supply of canned goods to supplement.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ITEMS NEEDED:

Cereal, rice & beans, mac & cheese, peanut butter, and soup.

Needless to say we need EVERYTHING! Please bring some food with you to church on Sunday or drop food off at the church office during the week.

As always, thank you for your continued support to this vital ministry that provides food to our neighbors who are hungry.

Construction is coming to Good Shepherd!

The Vestry has approved the first phase of work on our campus, with projects beginning in early June at the school and later in the month for the church. Phase One includes new roofs on the church, school, and Rectory, all of which have developed leaks over time. The school will also undergo a major sewer repair.

We will replace the original air conditioning unit in the church, along with the Rectory air conditioner. Sidewalks and parking lots damaged by tree roots will be repaired, sealed, and re-striped. Once that work is complete, we will paint the exterior of all buildings on campus.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, over $1.6 million has been committed toward our goal of $2 million. If you have not yet made a commitment, we invite you to prayerfully consider joining us. To make a commitment or donation, click the link below or contact Fr. Groff or Lynn Evans, Business Manager.

A Look Ahead

Do you have someone you would like us to pray for? If you, a friend, or a family member would like to be included on the Prayer List, please contact the church office or click the button below to submit a request.

"Hear These Words" is a weekly podcast from Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Tequesta, FL hosted by our Rector, Sanford Groff. Each week we discuss the passages of Scripture assigned for the upcoming Sunday according to the Revised Common Lectionary with guests from within the Good Shepherd community and with colleagues from around the nation. Listen to (or watch) episodes each Tuesday at www.GoodShepOnline.org or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

Good Shepherd Umbrellas

Missed out on a Good Shepherd umbrella? Good news—we’ve ordered a few more, and they’re now available in the office. Please see Michelle.
