WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS - April 10, 2026

Outreach Project 2026

Update

St. George Table's "Temporary New Home"

St. George Table needs our support!  Since our Lenten Project was announced, plans for this program have evolved. A new agreement has been reached, and St. George Table will continue to operate out of Victory City Church in Riviera Beach for at least the next year. But this arrangement comes at a cost. There will be a sizeable increase in the rent. And additional equipment and improvements are needed in order to continue our feeding program.  We are getting close to our goal of $20,000 , with over $17,000 raised so far. But we need your help to get us over the top, and to enable St. George Table to make the commitment to keep this program operating. Over 150 needy families and individuals depend on this program for their daily sustenance. We are enormously grateful to all whose donations have brought us thus far on the road. And we give our thanks to those whose future support will help to carry us forward.

BIBLE STUDY WITH CLERGY

April 15 , 11:00 AM

Paul the Apostle has often been read in ways that feel heavy or exclusionary. Join us as we explore his Letter to the Romans with fresh eyes, hearing it as a bold proclamation of God’s grace, liberation, and good news for all. Meets Wednesdays at 11:00 AM in the Parish Hall.

THEOLOGICAL BOOK STUDY:

April 16, 4:00 PM

The Theological Book Group meets on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. in the library. Join us as we discuss The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. In this imaginative and thought-provoking allegory, Lewis explores the nature of heaven and hell—and the choices that shape our souls. Widely regarded as a classic of theological fiction, this book invites rich conversation and fresh insight. All are welcome!

A Look Ahead

Reserve your spot TODAY! Limited Seating. This is a FREE event. Casual Attire and since we will be on the grass, flat or wedge shoes are recommended!

Approaching Mother’s Day with Faith and Care

April 19 at 9 a.m. in Parish Hall

Mother’s Day can be deeply meaningful for some and unexpectedly difficult for others. Depending on our life experiences, it may carry joy or grief, gratitude or longing, or even a mix of emotions all at once. Join us for a panel conversation exploring how we, as a community of faith, can approach this day with honesty, compassion, and care. Together, we will reflect on scripture, consider our liturgical life, and make space for the full range of experiences among us.

All are welcome for this thoughtful and important conversation.

"Hear These Words" is a weekly podcast from Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Tequesta, FL hosted by our Rector, Sanford Groff. Each week we discuss the passages of Scripture assigned for the upcoming Sunday according to the Revised Common Lectionary with guests from within the Good Shepherd community and with colleagues from around the nation. Listen to (or watch) episodes each Tuesday at www.GoodShepOnline.org or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.
