WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS - May 1, 2026

The hygiene kit collection for the Warfield School has begun.  Warfield is a Title I elementary school in Indiantown that serves 800 mostly under-privileged children. Teachers and school nurses use our hygiene kits to teach basic personal care, and kits are then distributed to needy children. There are Ziploc bags on the table in the Narthex which contain a list of the needed items: toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.

Please fill a kit for a needy child, and return it by Sunday, May 10th. The children, the school, and the parents will thank you!

BIBLE STUDY WITH CLERGY

May 6 , 11:00 AM

Paul the Apostle has often been read in ways that feel heavy or exclusionary. Join us as we explore his Letter to the Romans with fresh eyes, hearing it as a bold proclamation of God’s grace, liberation, and good news for all.

Meets Wednesdays at 11:00 AM

in the Parish Hall

LENTEN PROJECT UPDATE

First of all, we offer a heartfelt thank you to all who supported our Lenten Outreach project. Once again, we exceeded our goal, raising $20,445 to support St. George Table during this time of transition. We have now received news that there will be a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, May 17 to begin construction of Hearts of Palm, St. George Table’s new home in Riviera Beach! When the project is finished, St. George Table will be a central part of this comprehensive facility, to be located on the site of the former St. George Mission. If all goes well, construction should be completed within the year.

As we prepare to transform our space into a fun, winter-themed adventure, we’re looking for help gathering props and decorations.

If you have any items we could borrow, we would greatly appreciate it! Some ideas include:

  • Skis or snowboards
  • Sleds
  • Inflatable snowmen or winter decorations
  • Fake snow or snow blankets
  • Winter gear (jackets, scarves, mittens, hats)
  • Anything else that feels snowy or mountain-themed

If you’re able to lend something, please let us know what you have. We’ll make sure all items are well cared for and returned after VBS.

Thank you for helping us create a fun and memorable experience for our kids!
