Revelation Session 6: The Little Scroll and the Two Witnesses

This Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Parish Hall, we’ll turn to Revelation 10–11, where John receives a mysterious little scroll and is commissioned to speak God’s word once more. The scene unfolds into a vivid drama of witness and resistance as two prophets stand boldly in the face of opposition, only to be raised in triumph by God’s power. These chapters reveal how divine truth is proclaimed amid turmoil and how faithful testimony—spoken and lived— becomes part of God’s victory over the powers of the world.

Sunday Forum: October 19, 9:00 am

Mind, Body, and Spirit: Conceiving the Subject of Faith in a New Psychic Economy

Join us for October’s Forum when our guest will be parishioner Quinn Foerch who is a psychoanalytic theorist, author, and scholar. In a world shaped by technology, anxiety, and endless noise, this forum will explore how faith can speak to the modern soul—and how psychoanalysis helps us understand the new spiritual challenges of our age.

Are the conditions of our “hypermodern” experience different than that of the 20th century? How do we conceive of faith in a world whose heavens are populated by stars, satellites, x-rays and quarks? This forum will invite a thoughtful consideration of modern social questions as they might be reconciled by the Christian faith. Grounded in the work of clinician and psychoanalytic theorist Dr. Charles Melman, we will discuss the profound intersection between the new psychic economy and the role of Christianity in Western society today.

Stewardship Campaign 2026

At Good Shepherd, we know that generosity doesn’t just sustain a budget—it shapes lives, forms faith, and builds a community where love grows.

When you give, you help create a church where welcome is real, worship is vibrant, and people of all ages find belonging. Your gift becomes the seed that helps ministries take root—from Sunday School to pastoral care, from music and liturgy to outreach and fellowship. It nurtures the soil of our shared life by supporting essential staff, maintaining our sacred spaces, and preparing us for growth.

As Scripture reminds us, we are “built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God” (Ephesians 2:22). And at the center of all we build stands Christ—our cornerstone, our strength, our joy.

This year, we invite you to be part of a harvest of hope. By making a pledge, you’re not just giving to a church—you’re helping love take root in every heart we serve.

Join us as we grow something beautiful—together!
