Last Sunday, Mike unpacked one of the most challenging sections in 1 John. We saw that there are two families: children of God and children of the devil. And John gave us clear tests to tell them apart—children of God practice righteousness and love their brothers and sisters.
That raises an uncomfortable question: How do we know if our love is real?
This week, we're staying in 1 John 3 to explore what genuine love actually looks like. John is going to get really practical. He's going to show us that love isn't just something we feel or something we say—it's something we do.
And honestly, this sermon has been convicting for me as I've prepared it. I keep seeing the gap between my words and my actions. Between saying I love people and actually showing up when it costs me something.
If you've ever wondered what it means to love like Jesus loved, this message is for you. See you Sunday.
