Our Mission --
"To Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World!"

The first Sunday in October annually finds us celebrating World Communion Sunday. United Methodists around the world will each share in the sacrament. It is estimated that someone will be receiving communion each of the 24 hours on Sunday. A special offering will be received for our UM Student Scholarship program aimed especially towards our Black Colleges and Universities.
We also will share in the sacrament at the first two services. We'll encounter Jesus again reminding us that only those who come as little children in faith are fit for the Kingdom of God. The Old Testament passage from Job 1:1 and 2:1-10 relate to the question of why bad things happen to good people. All in all, lots of possibilities for preaching!!

Coat Drive is Nearing the End...
Please gather up new or slightly used coats and bring them to the church as soon as possible.

The annual coat drive is only a few weeks away and Chair Karen Sadowski is busily preparing for all of the details that go into that important local mission. Last year over 800 coats were shared with those in need in our community.

Help is needed following our 11:00 am worship on October 28 to help with the setup and moving of coats. Pizza will be provided and the fellowship will be fun as we prepare for one of our biggest mission days at Elm park.
