Hello Hope Des Moines!
If you’ve been around Hope Des Moines for any length of time, you’ve undoubtedly heard the phrase
“God is on the move!”
It’s a simple way of saying that God is changing lives, working through you, and the kingdom is expanding. The best part is, we get to be a part of it.
God is on the move, and we get to come along for the ride!
This was certainly evident this past weekend with
overflowing worship services and parking lots!
Speaking of parking lots, we are aware with the recent growth of worship, sometimes finding a parking spot around our facility can be a challenge. Because of that,
we’ve secured some additional parking
with our neighbors.
Revised parking maps
can always be found at the Welcome Center after worship or
on our Facebook page.
Secondly, if you’re looking for a service with a bit more elbow room and you have the flexibility in your schedule,
we would encourage you to check out the Saturday 5:00 pm service.
It offers the same worship, message and uplifting vibe as Sunday, plus parking is a bit easier. Know you’re always welcome at any service, but
what a great way to open up some spots on Sunday morning for our many visitors.
God is also on the move in several other exciting ways! After worship on Sunday we continued our
CORE class with more than 60 people growing in their ability to understand the Bible
and grow in faith. At the same time, dozens of you came to
help sort the hundreds of food and hygiene donations
given during our Souper Bowl Food Drive! This week we were able to fully stock food pantries at Central Iowa Shelter as well as both East and Lincoln High Schools thanks to your generosity!
The best part is,
the movement continues in several great new ways in the next few weeks, and you’re invited!
- This weekend with the IF:Gathering to empower women in their faith with close to 50 ladies signed up! You can still register or join them tonight and/or Saturday. All the information is HERE.
- Friday, Feb. 15 with our Daddy Daughter Dance downtown! All girls ages 2-grade 6 are invited to come with their dads (or any father figure) beginning at 6:30 pm to enjoy a night of dancing, treats, crafts, and more! There will be giveaways and treats for all! Register today HERE!
God is on the move, and you’re invited to join him!
I can’t wait to see you all this weekend as we
continue in our series in First Corinthians
by looking at the power of the team we call the Body of Christ. Bring a friend, your Bible, and we’ll see you Saturday or Sunday!
