Last plastic bag collection!
M’kor Shalom's Green Group's TREX CHALLENGE has been a synagogue-wide effort to collect thousands of plastic film and bags to be turned into sustainable outdoor materials.

We will collect the plastic bags one last time in our parking lot, then weigh and deliver them to Trex. We have far surpassed our original goal of 500 pounds of recycled plastic in six months. A win-win for us and the environment. In February, we received a beautiful Trex recycled plastic bench.

Four Wednesdays, March 3, 10, 17 & 24, 10:30 am
Led by Yossi Afek
If the Exodus took place around 1250 BCE and the establishment of the Kingdom of David and Solomon around 1000 BCE what happened to the Israelites in Canaan in between those years? The book of Judges describes a stunning reality in this middle age period that is pre-Jewish in nature. It is Canaanite – mostly pagan, intriguing and colorful like few other texts in the Bible. Let’s take a look – are these pagans our ancestors? Really? What ever happened to the Mosaic Jewish community established at Mount Sinai?. Registration is required; click HERE.

These sessions are open to all. No cost for congregants. $10/person per session for non-members. Zoom information will be sent to everyone who has registered.
