It's that time of year again, where we get the amazing opportunity to show our support for Men's Health.
The Movember Foundation is a wonderful organization focused on Men's Health awareness. They're getting the word out about Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, and Mens Suicide. 60 Men die from suicide every hour!
Trans Western Chemicals is honored to show their support of this worthy cause by encouraging our team members to let their upper lip hair fly! Additionally this year we've set a target of walking 60 miles in November to honor the 60 men who die every hour from suicide. Trans Western Chemicals will be donating a portion of its November proceeds to this incredible foundation.

What pairs well with a polyaspartic, like a nice steak and a fine wine? A versatile Isocyanate of course!
Pflaumer Brothers has two unique Low-Viscosity Aliphatic Polyisocyanate Hardeners, Teracure NX-16 and Teracure NX-19. Both products are based on Hexamethylene Diisocyanate Trimer, and can even be blended with other Iscocyanates for improved performance properties.
Key Features and Benefits include:

Very Low Viscosity, down to 450 ± 150 mPas
- Great Hardener for both Polyurethanes and Polyaspartics
- Excellent Weatherability, Durability, Solvent and Chemical Resistance, Color Retention, and Gloss Retention
- Outstanding Mechanical Properties, including Flexibility and Abrasion Resistance
- Compatible with a variety of other Isocyanates
Applications for these Low Viscosity Isocyanates include:
- Great for high-solids and solvent-free polyurethane and polyaspartic coating systems
- Can be formulated to provide relatively low-viscosity, solvent-free, air-dry or forced-dry coatings for OEM automotive, refinish, general transportation coatings, industrial metal coatings, as well as for plastics, concrete, and composites.

The Man, The Myth, The Legend......Kacey Henley our Sales Support Specialist |
Kacey Henley first hired on as our Sales Support Specialist in July of 2019. He's 31 years old and grew up just down the street from our corporate headquarters in the city of Buena Park. When I asked Kacey how he likes working for Trans Western Chemicals he said, "I enjoy what I do and more importantly, I enjoy the people I work with."
Before coming to work for Trans Western, he had worked in a variety of jobs including telemarketing, warehouse worker, pharmacy technician, and even as a salesmen. He considers himself fairly simple, and in his free time he likes reading a good book (typically one from the self-help genre), hanging out with those that he loves (which he admits is more difficult now with Covid), or doing his best to learn something new. Kacey loves business and anything entrepreneurial. Some things you may not have known about Kacey, he's created music, performed on stage with well-known artists, built websites, created clothing lines, was an amazon seller, among so many other things. Most recently he's taken up stocks, so if you have any tips he's all ears! Under normal circumstances Sports would also be a big part of Kacey's life, however this year has been a bit different. That being said Kacey is thrilled that the Lakers won another championship after 10 years.
This year has been full of ups and downs for everyone, but Kacey feels fortunate to have the support of family and friends during these trying times, even if he can't see them as often as he'd like. Kacey has a girlfriend, Norma and they're coming up on their one year anniversary next month. She is a huge inspiration to Kacey! Norma works as a caregiver, frequently putting her well-being and the needs of her patients above her own.
Kacey did want to wish everyone a safe remainder of the year, and he looks forward to 2021!

Embarrassing Dye Stains are a thing of the past
|
Unless you're a kid playing in the grass or maybe the Maytag man, stains can be embarrassing. But have no fear, Organic Dyes and Pigments is here with a solution.
The OrcoTint NS line provides customers with the unique ability to color a product while minimizing staining effects. This line of dyes are polymeric, highly concentrated liquid colors, designed to offer minimal staining in a variety of end use applications including detergents & soaps, chemical compounding products, ice-melts, portable sanitation chemicals, and livestock colorants. The distinct properties of this line provide virtually zero staining on the skin, textiles, plastics, and processing machinery. OrcoTint NS colorants are compatible with many systems due to its non-ionic chemical nature and high water-solubility. Their high solubility allows them to be formulated in high dosages in both liquid and solid applications.
The current OrcoTint NS colorants line includes the following colors Royal Blue, Blue, Dark royal 8711, Violet, and Bright Green. With more on the way!
