Hello, my name is Izzy : ) |
Everyone, meet Isabel Estela or as she’s more commonly known around the office, Izzy. As of this August she’s been working in Customer Service for 2 years, and you’ll always find her working with a smile. If you’ve ever interacted with her, whether by phone or email, you know exactly what I’m talking about. You can almost feel it!
Izzy lives in Placentia, and pre-COVID you might have found her frequenting the LA Coliseum where she enjoyed watching her Rams, or even Angels Stadium cheering on Americas favorite past time with her boyfriend (fiancé more to come on that below). You could say she enjoys the outdoors, whether its attending concerts, riding bikes, beach days, hiking, snapping photos with her camera, thrifting, or even trying a new ice cream shop. She also really loves taking care of her plants, even if it feels like they’re always on the brink of death (she admits that she always chooses the high maintenance ones).

Earlier this year Izzy’s boyfriend (at the time) surprised her with a trip to New York for her birthday. It was a big celebration for her, she had never been to New York before, and she was turning the big 3-0. Well, turns out he had one more big surprise up his sleeve……while adventuring through New York City, he proposed!!! Izzy left with a boyfriend and returned with a fiancé.
We’re thrilled to have Izzy as a part of our family here at Trans Western Chemicals, and we’re over the moon excited for her pending nuptials.

Synthetic Mica, what a Brilliant Effect Pigment |
Many effect pigments utilize Natural Mica as a core raw material, its naturally occurring, but can be challenging for high-quality effect pigments due to fluctuations in quality and potential impurities.
Synthetic Mica on the other hand is an industrially manufactured raw material, providing a highly transparent and pure raw material. This results in a higher quality pigment, with improved luster and transparency, offering extremely brilliant colors while impacting the basic color to a much lesser degree. Due to the thin film thickness and rounded particle structure a more even surface appearance is produced after application. A synthetic mica is more flexible and shatter proof, resulting in limited loss of effect intensity when used in paints and masterbatch applications.
