The BIG man turns 71!
Our fearless leader Henry Kirsch started Trans Western Chemicals with his partners Jim and Virginia Dye in 1981. Trans Western is coming up on its 40th year anniversary and Henry's coming up on 50 years in the coatings industry.

We celebrated his 71st birthday earlier this month, and as you can see he's having just as much fun as he did his first day on the job. A nice slice of carrot cake every once in a while is all it takes to keep him out there thumping for new business!

Check Out Fuji Silysia's New SY-770FCP for Facial Scrubs and more
Fuji Silysia Chemical, LTD produces a full line of Sylysia FCP products for a variety of applications including Facial Scrubs, Pharmaceuticals, and Nutraceuticals. These amorphous silica gels are characterized by their high purity and high porosity, manufactured to meet USP/NF regulations.

The SY-770FCP recently released is characterized as a mild abrasive offering excellent properties for facial scrubs and even dentifrice. The granular form of silica gel allows for a mild abrasive effect on the skin, both exfoliating (removing dirt) and leaving a polished look. But it can also be used in any food or nutraceutical products as a free flow agent or carrier of scent, flavor, etc. Some additional features of this products are noted below.

Sylysia SY-770 FCP

  • SiO2 purity: more than 99.7%
  • Tasteless, odorless white powder
  • Pore Volume: 0.4 - 1.8 mL/g
  • Average Particle Size: 3 - 7 microns
  • Surface Area: 300 - 700m2/g

  • Control of sustained-release
  • Improvement of solubility for poorly-soluble materials

COVID-19 Halloween Spooktacular
We weren't about to let COVID keep us down this Halloween season, so the whole office took part in dressing up. It was a great opportunity to have some fun and let loose.

Izzy and Jacquie decorated the whole office and we even did some pumpkin carving. Everyone had a wonderful time and each of us really enjoyed the opportunity to take a break in such a busy year.

Take that COVID! Boo!
Organik Kimya's Orgal P-050G, a Multifaceted Solution
Orgal P-050G is a low VOC capable, APEO, ammonia, and formaldehyde free 100% acrylic emulsion specifically designed for use in low VOC and solvent-free interior and/or exterior wood, trim, and wall paints with good gloss potential and low odor.

Coatings formulated with Orgal P-050G show excellent gloss, low temperature coalescing and early block resistance. Dried films have good scrub, water, and alkali resistance. The wet adhesion properties of the polymer enables adhesion on various substrates including metal surfaces. Cured films have easy stain removal and low dirt pick-up properties.

  • Solids Content: 47%
  • Viscosity: 1000 cps max
  • pH: 8.0 - 8.5
  • MFFT (Celsius): <3
  • Storage Stability: Protect from Freezing

  • Concrete Sealers and Topcoats
  • Interior/Exterior Semi-gloss and High-gloss paints
  • DTM Coatings
