Heavy Rain, Possible Flooding Reminders
The Miami-Dade Office of Emergency Management is issuing flood safety reminders i n expectation of heavy rainfall and possible flooding for this Memorial Day weekend. 
The National Weather Service continues to monitor "Alberto", forecasting an increased risk of showers, thunderstorms and flooding.
Memorial Day Ceremony at American Legion
A remembrance honoring all who served is planned for Monday at 11 am, Marlin Moore American Legion Post 133, 16401 SW 90th Ave, Palmetto Bay. Refreshments served beginning at 10:00. Everyone is invited to come by and thank a veteran.
Camp Palmetto Bay
Great summer fun for kids! Registration is now underway for summer camp at Coral Reef Elementary for kids ages 5-12!
Activities, snacks and field trips included. June 11 - August 3rd.
Parks Master Plan Workshop
On June 2, please join us as we hold a Palmetto Bay Parks Master Plan Public Workshop. What is the best way to maintain the sustainability our five vital, natural assets?
What possible expansions should be made to our parks system? 9 am - noon, Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, Zeigler Hall 14401 Old Cutler Road
Community Yard Sale Rescheduled for June 3rd
Rain check on our Community Yard Sale! It's now set for June 3rd, 9 am - 2 pm at Coral Reef Park. Plenty of vendors will be unloading their unwanted treasures, so get there early. It takes place at the 77th Avenue parking lot. See you then!
Bryan Norcross to Speak at Village Hurricane Workshop
Meteorologist and Storm Specialist Bryan Norcross will be the keynote speaker at this year's Palmetto Bay Hurricane Preparedness Workshop. Save the date: June 9th at 11:00 a.m. Village Hall. Lunch will be served, and there'll also be a drawing to win a free generator!
Dogs of Summer
Alright dog lovers, here's an event for you AND your favorite four-legged friend. On Saturday, June 23rd, at Coral Reef Park, Palmetto Bay joins Miami-Dade County and surrounding communities for an Adoption and Training Expo. Cool events include a dog wash, prizes and a K-9 exhibition. No bones about it!

Make your plans now for July 4th in the Village! Beginning at 6 pm at Village Hall, there'll be music, Kid's fun zones, artists/crafters, food vendors, music and FIREWORKS! Something for everyone, so join us in celebrating the Red, White and Blue!
