Welcoming the New School Year
female_student_classroom.jpg
This Monday, August 19th, kids of all ages will be going back to school as hundreds of Miami-Dade County Public Schools open their doors to thousands of students for the new 2019-20 school year! Some students will be returning to their prior schools while others will be moving on to a new school site and to the next stage in their academic careers; but all will experience new challenges and opportunities over the next 180 days! To those students, their parents and especially the teachers who will open their horizons to new knowledge, we wish them a productive, safe and FUN new school year!
Back to School Traffic Safety
As kids of all ages head back to school on Monday, we ask drivers to be cognizant of the 15 MPH school zones and observe all traffic signals, particularly those in proximity to any school.

To ensure the safety of the kids, parents and drivers, Palmetto Bay police will be present at various locations throughout the Village to assist with traffic flow.
