Coffee Hour - Coffee Hour for Graduating Seniors!

This Sunday we will be having a special coffee hour hosted by Michael & Katy Powers and Regi Hightower in honor of Harry Powers and Aspen Osgood who are graduating this year.

Congratulations to the both of them! You can read about their future plans below:

During Harry's Norman High School years, he enjoyed participation in cross country, men's soccer, and student council. He served as the 2022 Oklahoma Association of Student Council State President. He also actively participated in NHS Kindness Club and Water Club.

Harry taught Spanish to Lincoln Elementary Students each week and he earned a seal of biliteracy from the Norman Board of Education. His favorite class this year has been service learning, in which he serves and supports fellow Norman High students who have disabilities and special needs.

Harrison was on NHS homecoming court all four years, selected as Homecoming King this fall and All Sports King this spring.

Additionally, Harry has served as an altar server for twelve years at Holy Ascension, attended Camp St. Raphael, and will be a CSR camp counselor this summer.

He is honored to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he has been awarded a Naval ROTC scholarship. He has been selected for the 2023-2024 President's Leadership Class. He is excited for OU OCF! He plans to study mechanical engineering in pursuit of his goal of becoming a Navy pilot.

Outside of school, she competed on an all star cheer team coming in 3rd place in the World Allstar Federation Championship this year. She was also selected as a cheerleader for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade her sophomore year. Her NHS cheer team was awarded as STUNT regional and state champions in 2021, and regional champions and state runner up in 2022.

She is a member of the Spanish Honors Society, National Society of High School Scholars, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), Norman Water Club, OASC, and is a Link Crew Leader, As a member of Tigerpalooza, she earned the title of Tigerpalooza STUCO Queen in 2021.

Outside of the classroom, she serves the community as a member of United Way Leadership and Chamber of Commerce Tomorrow’s Leaders as well as attending Camp St Raphael and serving as a parish greeter for Holy Ascension Orthodox Church.

She was on homecoming court for 3 of her high school years and earned the title of Homecoming Princess her junior year. Currently, she serves as Vice President of Organizations for Student Council. For her outstanding performance, she was awarded the NHS Honors Award for Algebra II, Spanish III, and Honors English II as well as an AP Scholar With Honor, and selected as Lion Student of the Month. Recently she was recognized for teaching Spanish to elementary students and earned her seal of biliteracy from the Norman Board of Education.
