Aspen has thoroughly enjoyed her years at NHS participating as a member of the Norman High Cheer and Modern Dance teams. Outside of school, she competed on an all star cheer team coming in 3rd place in the World Allstar Federation Championship this year. She was also selected as a cheerleader for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade her sophomore year. Her NHS cheer team was awarded as STUNT regional and state champions in 2021, and regional champions and state runner up in 2022.
She is a member of the Spanish Honors Society, National Society of High School Scholars, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), Norman Water Club, OASC, and is a Link Crew Leader, As a member of Tigerpalooza, she earned the title of Tigerpalooza STUCO Queen in 2021.
Outside of the classroom, she serves the community as a member of United Way Leadership and Chamber of Commerce Tomorrow’s Leaders as well as attending Camp St Raphael and serving as a parish greeter for Holy Ascension Orthodox Church.
She was on homecoming court for 3 of her high school years and earned the title of Homecoming Princess her junior year. Currently, she serves as Vice President of Organizations for Student Council. For her outstanding performance, she was awarded the NHS Honors Award for Algebra II, Spanish III, and Honors English II as well as an AP Scholar With Honor, and selected as Lion Student of the Month. Recently she was recognized for teaching Spanish to elementary students and earned her seal of biliteracy from the Norman Board of Education.
Aspen was awarded several scholarships and will be attending OU this fall where she was selected to be a part of the President’s Leadership Class. She will be double majoring in Criminology and Psychology where she plans on pursuing her dream of becoming a FBI profiler.
