Here's What's Up

Potluck this afternoon at 4:30pm!

We will be having our pre-Vespers potluck today at 4:30pm before Vespers. Vespers will begin at 5pm and catechism class will begin at 6pm. In addition, we will now be offering catechism and instruction classes for children so bring the whole family! Tonight's potluck theme will be Asian food. God willing see you there!

Food and Shelter

Holy Ascension's monthly service opportunity at Food and Shelter for Friends continues to go strong and our next engagement falls on this coming Saturday, November 12th, at 10:30 am. Altar Servers Meeting

We will have an altar servers meeting on Sunday, November 20th directly after Divine Liturgy. We will be going over the structure and movements of the Divine Liturgy, the conduct appropriate for altar servers, as well as creating altar boy teams for the upcoming year. If you have a son who would like to serve in the altar please plan on him attending this meeting!

Ladies Psalter Group

The Nativity Fast begins in a few short weeks!

If you are interested in joining our Psalter group this year please contact Stephanie Jones. We will each read one Kathisma per day for the 40 days of the fast and commit to pray for the other group members.

Ornament Exchange!

This year for the Nativity season we have an opportunity to exchange ornaments with Holy Apostles Orthodox Church in Colombia, SC.

Each family that wants to be a part of the exchange will be responsible for making 8-10 Nativity themed ornaments to mail to 8-10 different families. In return you and your family will receive 8-10 ornaments from other families in the mail.
