Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ,
Greetings from the Christian Service Committee! We hope this message finds you all well and joyfully celebrating the Feast of the Dormition of our Lady, the Most Holy Theotokos.
We are called to love one another. One of the single greatest acts of love that we can extend into our community is by way of service to the needy and the poor. Helping those who cannot help themselves is an essential mission of the Orthodox Church and as a parish we are able to fulfill this mission because of you, the individuals and families who are willing to give what you have to help those in need. The Christian Service Committee wishes to extend a very warm thanks to all of you who have so generously offered your time, resources, and/or prayers in support of this essential mission of the Church. Thank you for helping us to fill our food pantry, for donating your time to help at Food and Shelter for Friends, and for all the big and small ways in which you offer yourselves to the service of others, both within and outside of our parish. It is heartwarming to behold members of our parish community loving their neighbors as themselves. Thank you!
