Newly Minted Principal:
Elsy Villafranca, CCMS
It is with great pleasure that we are announcing  Elsy Villafranca as the next Principal of Culver City Middle School.

On becoming Culver City's next Middle School Principal, Ms. Villafranca said, "Being a part of this incredible team of teachers, staff, and counselors is an absolute joy. I look forward to working with all of our schools throughout the district to provide a connected student experience for every child in Culver City."

Please join us in welcoming Elsy aboard!

El Rincon's 1st Grade R eading Party Was A Smash Hit!
In an effort to connect their families to one of the core goals of their 1st Grade Class, teaching neighbors Ms. Tynan and Ms. Carlan are throwing "Reading Parties" every Friday in which they invite parents and family members to their room to read for 30 minutes to their student.  This past Friday, Ms. Tynan's room was alive with the sounds of rhyming words, quotes, onomatopoeia and more.  The best part is, this activity is super-inclusive, super-fun, and indicative of everything Culver City has come to be known for: supportive parents and innovative teachers collaborating to do great things for kids!
