 Culver City Class Of 2016 Graduate Nolan  Martinez is one of the New York Yankees 30 best prospects.   With their pick in the third round of the 2016 MLB Draft, the New York Yankees selected the righty who was the definition of lights out in his senior year:  pitching to an 8-2 record with a 0.49 ERA, and striking out 81 batters in 56 2/3 innings.  The 18-year old has a fastball that sits around 89-92 m.p.h. and can reach 95 with a recorded spin rate of 2685 rpm.
El Rincon's Science Lab Provides Rockets With Inquiry-Based Lessons 
 Facilities matter.  And when it comes to Science education at El Rincon S.T.E.A.M. School, the custom-designed Science Lab on campus facilitates inquiry-based lessons in which students discover new knowledge, as opposed to the standard classroom mode of constructing it.  For example, in the picture above students are smack-dab in the middle of an excavation - discovering fossils and classifying them with their friends.
