Most Points In Ventura Classic History!
Culver City High School's Robotics Team BAGEL BYTES made history this weekend.  In the video linked above, witness Bagel Bytes and their Blue Alliance Team execute a "triple hang" to win their match against the Red Team this weekend during the Ventura Classic Regionals.  310 points is the most ever scored in the history of the tournament.
Thursday @ Sony Pictures Studios
Culver City High School's AVPA Film students will screen short films at Sony Pictures on Thursday, March 23rd at 7pm in the Cary Grant Theatre. There will be a dessert reception at 7pm, and a short Q & A with student Directors following the screening. Students have been working diligently on these original documentary, mockumentary and narrative fiction films since the start of the school year, and are absolutely stunning to behold!
CCMS Girls Basketball:
Coach Don Guthrie took his undefeated Culver City Middle School to the Championship Game this Wednesday at Staples Center vs. Los Angeles Center For Enriched Studies.  Check the video above for some coast-to-coast action by the Lady Panthers, and more!
Yamen Sanders @ NFL Pro Day
Hard work pays off.  Culver City athletes are widely known to have taken their talents to the professional level.  Such is the case with Yamen Sanders, a Class Of 2012 Centaur, who had a phenomenal showing at his NFL Pro Day.  His stats?  A 4.56 40yd dash, a 42 inch Vertical Jump, and 24 reps of 225 lbs. on the bench press!
5th Grade @ Reagan Library Command Center
In the Discovery Center @ the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, students have the opportunity to reenact and relive critical moments in US history leaders in the Command Center, Cabinet Members in the Oval Office, and journalists in the White House press corps.  Here, in the Command Center, students re-examine the military decisions made to rescue American medical students held hostage during the Invasion of Grenada in 1983.
CCMS College Week:
March Madness Is Everywhere
Combining the NCAA Basketball Tournament's frenzy with the goal of college access for all Culver City Middle School students couldn't be more of a perfect blend.  With teachers and students sporting their favorite college gear all week long and tracking Tournament results on a huge over-sized bracket near the quad, life is pretty fun at CCMS right now :)
The students may have come in with last year's title, but the teachers and staff of Culver City High School stepped up this week to put on a show and take things out on some of their favorite students and athletes.  Check out the video above  see teachers block shots, rain three-pointers, and juke left and right on their way to a decisive victory..
