Progress Monitoring:  Why To C heck-Up & Check-In
Ms. Cuevas' Kindergarten class at La Ballona has a lot going on this third week of school.  As can be imagined, students started the year with various language and numeracy experiences, and it's the task of our teachers to move all students forward towards proficiency and mastery.  That's where Progress Monitoring comes in. All students do not learn the same way, or at the same rate.  (Just like adults.)  So Ms. Cuevas and her colleagues use data to track each individual student's progress, and ongoingly review their successes and growth areas to continue to find ways to challenge them.
Girls Tennis, Here They Come!
Culver City's Varsity Girls Tennis Team Is making quite a bit of noise this Fall.  With victories already over Venice and Notre Dame Academy, they medaled this weekend in Tournament Play.
Boys X-Country @ Rosemead

A recent event in Culver City serves as a reminder this week for families to talk with their children about avoiding interactions with strangers.  As safe a community as we are, being vigilant and adhering to some basic tenants will keep all our children safe for years to come.
