Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has been serving food, fun and fabulous live entertainment for everyone since 1973. It was called "Beef" because of the delicious hand-carved roast beef served before the performances, and "Boards" referring to the boards or stage of a theatre.

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre entertains more than 155,000 theatergoers annually. Each season includes professional Broadway shows, plays and acclaimed children's theatre productions by their resident Pyramid Players.

DON’T DELAY—REGISTER BY MAY 1.

YMCA Alumni National Service Project

Construction set to resume in Dupree, SD

The National Service Project is a fun and gratifying project of the YMCA Alumni, an organization whose members in 17 chapters are retired YMCA employees and their partners. We are in the second year of the project, an ambitious partnership with the YMCA of the Seven Council Fires to build a Tiny Home Village on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in Dupree, S.D., plus two “twigs” (small YMCA branches) in remote communities on the nearly 5,000 square-mile reservation, an area of extreme poverty.

Construction of the tiny home village and the first of the "twigs" resumes next month. The National Service Project Standing Committee is actively recruiting 160 volunteers - 20 per week for 8 weeks - to help finish the first home and make significant progress on the others. No special skills are required.

Here is the schedule of work weeks:

Wave 1 - May 9 - 16

Wave 2 - May 16 - 23

Wave 3 - May 23 - 30

Wave 4 - May 30 - June 6

Wave 5 - Sept 12 - 19

Wave 6 - Sept 19 - 26

Wave 7 - Sept 26 - Oct 3

Wave 8 - Oct 3 – 10

Waves are filling up quickly, so register early to get your preferred dates. Visit the volunteer page of the National Service Project "Case for Support" website (click button below) for details and a form to register.

Dan Wheeler and Susan Wakefield from Indianapolis are going on Wave 2, Danny Maier from our chapter is going on Waves 7-8 with eight friends. We hope you will consider joining any of these waves for the National Service Project. There are many ways to support this worthy cause.

Fundraising for the National Service Project stands at $730,216. Total pledges from our Hoosier-Buell Chapter are at $34, 645.
