A New Way to Communicate
On Jan. 31, COPC launched a new podcast series called The CEO Notebook with Dr. Deep.

This podcast offers a new way for Dr. Deep to communicate with COPC employees. Each episode features a look into the daily life of our CEO while providing exclusive inside access to weekly executive leadership meetings, company updates, CEO meetings, and things that inspire Dr. Deep!

The new podcast is meant to be listened to everywhere and anywhere, at any time of the day. You can listen to the CEO Notebook on your morning or evening commute, while you exercise, in your office, or at home. Simply click here to listen!  
Watch the COPC Town Hall On Demand
The COPC Town Hall with Dr. Deep took place on Feb. 28. The event included special guests Gary Janchenko, Chief Information Officer, and Whit Vann, IS Project Manager.

Among the topics of discussion were Dr. Deep's company update, the company goals for the year, and an update on the Epic transition.

COPC Employees Make 1,500 PB&J Sandwiches
On Feb. 21, COPC employees gathered at their sites and in the CBO's David R. Neiger, MD Boardroom to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Jordan's Crossing. The sandwiches provided food for the addicted, food insecure, and homeless in Central Ohio.
Eastside Medical Office Building Breaks Ground
In February, COPC broke ground on its newest medical building, the Eastside Medical Office Building. It will be located at 8050 E. Main St. and will encompass 62,000 SF.

Around 250 employees will call the new building home. The building will house Suburban Internal Medicine, Stonegate Family Health, Stonegate Medical Associates, Building Blocks Pediatrics, Eastglen Pediatrics, and Canyon Medical Center. Additionally, COPC ancillary services including Radiology, Cardiac Testing, Lab Draw Station, Physical Therapy, the PSC, and the SameDay Center will be housed in the building.

The Eastside MOB is projected to open in 2024.
Join teamCOPC at Pelotonia This Year
Pelotonia returns on Aug. 5 & 6 and teamCOPC will once again be fielding a group to raise money for cancer research! We are looking for riders and volunteers to join our group!

teamCOPC is hosting a Pelotonia kickoff event on April 12 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Central Business Office's David R. Neiger, MD Boardroom. Please stop by for free food and drink and learn how you can participate. We will be joined by a representative from Pelotonia to answer all of your questions!

Annual Compliance Training Runs Through May 4
The annual COPC Compliance Training started on March 20. The program consists of seven training modules. You will need to complete the training by May 4. The training courses are available on COPConnect.

SBS Gets in the St. Patty's Day Spirit!
Step By Step Pediatrics got into the St. Patty's Day spirit this year by holding a festive party at their site. Good luck bags, cupcakes, and a cake were provided to the site's employees. Office Manager Shelly Powell helped lead the festivities!

COPC’s Fall Prevention Class Returns May 8 | Scheduling Starts April 1
This program provides an evidence-based fall prevention class, "Stepping On," to cognitively intact, community-dwelling COPC patients ages 60+ at risk of falling. This class has benefitted patients by helping them prevent falls and related hospital visits and allows patients to maintain greater independence.
 
Scheduling will start in April to fill our upcoming session of classes beginning May 8th. Remember to discuss this COPC resource when talking with your eligible patients!
