Presbyterian Women Updates

> P.W. Mission Sewing - TODAY (6/5) at 9am in the Koinonia Lounge making items for donation around our area...

> Talbot Circle - next Thursday (6/12) at noon in the Koinonia Lounge. It's "bring your own lunch" month with special wedding cake for dessert. The theme will be "Weddings," and everyone is asked to bring a photo of their wedding, their parents' or their childrens', or even one from a wedding party they were a part of.

Returning to Parking Lot

Pastors in the Parking Lot will return today (6/5) at 10am (assuming the weather cooperates). Pastors Luke and Meggan set up this time on the first Thursday of each month for some casual, catch-up conversations with church friends. Feel free to bring a lawn chair, stop by, and visit for awhile.

Plans for Sunday

Join us for our Pentecost Sunday worship this Sunday (6/8) at 9am as we celebrate the birthday of the church. Our scripture readings will be from Acts 2:1-21 and Romans 8:14-17 (*click links to read now). After Jesus ascended, the Holy Spirit descended and is still active in the church today. Hope you'll join us for worship, and don't forget to wear someting red!

Birthday Bash is Here!

This Sunday (6/8) after church, let's celebrate the birth of the church with our Birthday Bash! There will be a special table and a special cake for those from each month plus a few party games. It will take the place of Coffee Fellowship that day, so we ask that everyone who plans to stay after church please call to register your birthday. We already have more than 90 signed up! Come, let's all celebrate our birthdays together!

Special Offering This Sunday

Our PC-USA Pentecost Offering will be collected this Sunday (6/8) during worship. This special PC-USA offering is used to build and support a foundation of faith in our youth. Of the money given, 40% stays with F.U.P.C. to support our youth, 25% supports adult volunteers around the world, 25% supports youth ministries including Triennium, and the remaining 10% is devoted to children at risk. Please find the special envelope in the pew racks and give.

New June Giving Project

“Soles for Jesus” is a non-profit corporation that provides new and gently used shoes to the children and youth of Africa who desperately need them. During the last 14 years, our local faith community has shipped over 10,000 pairs of shoes, including campaigns led by our own Ian and Elaine Farwell! During the month of June, we'll have donation boxes in the Narthex for you to drop off new or gently used shoes. Thanks for your donations.

Help Brighten Our Sundays

Have you ever been impressed with the beautiful flowers on display in our Sanctuary on Sundays? Our Deacons coordinate the schedule, and they invite YOU to provide flowers on a date that's special to you. Whether it's a birthday, an anniversary, or in memory of someone, you can honor the date and share it with our church family. Simply sign up on the chart displayed in our Family Life Center and bring your flowers on that date. Share your special day with everyone!

Last Call for Photos

Final work is underway creating a brand new photo directory featuring our church family! If you didn't have photos take earlier at church, please email or send a recent picture of yourself/your family to the church office by Sunday, June 15. We hope to have our newest directory ready to share soon!

Tea Time was Great!

In case you missed it, our English Tea event was a wonderful gathering last Saturday (5/31) afternoon. Dozens of women and men enjoyed tea, cucumber sandwiches, and many assorted desserts along with a special presentation by Rev. Meggan Farwell. Funds raised will benefit an organization called Wellspring supporting women's well-being. Congratulations to our Connecting Ministry for organizing this great event!!

Thanks to Our Helpers

Last Sunday (6/1), there was another "upkeep" project around our facility. We'd like to thank Kevin Spiegel and his "special" assistants - Ian Farwell, Bryce Motquin, Jameson O'Brien, and Pastor Meggan - for all their hard work cleaning and re-staining our wonderful Rainbow playset in the church side yard. Our garden and play area take a lot of care to maintain, so we really appreciate everyone's hard work!

Sharing the Love

Last evening, our Agape Drive-Thru Dinner continued the wonderful tradition with a great lineup of church family, neighbors, and friends driving by to pick up free meals. As always, we'd like to thank our amazing team of volunteers who made it all happen on behalf of our church family. The next Agape Drive-Thru Meal is scheduled for July 2.

It's not too early to sign up for "True North"! That's the theme for our 2025 Vacation Bible School coming July 20 - 24. The sign-up link is LIVE! You can click HERE to register your children or grandchildren or to sign up yourself to volunteer to help. Don't forget to invite your friends and neighbors!
