On November 1, as part of Governor Janet Mills’s commitment to expand health insurance coverage, she gave a big boost to our latest major project by urging uninsured Mainers to visit CoverME.gov.
What is CoverME.gov? It’s a new website and campaign we just launched for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of MaineCare Services (Maine's Medicaid). Governor Mills expanded MaineCare in January 2019, making  free and low-cost health coverage options available for more people in Maine CoverME.gov  is a one-stop resource where uninsured Mainers can learn about and apply for MaineCare or commercial plans offered through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Most Mainers who apply for Marketplace plans receive financial assistance.
The campaign includes TV spots we produced featuring three of the more than 40,000 Mainers who have already enrolled in expanded MaineCare. We are airing these spots on a statewide television buy, along with a robust campaign on social media ( Facebook & Instagram ) and other digital platforms, designed to reach the thousands of eligible Mainers who haven't signed up yet.
The CoverME.gov campaign, supported by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in partnership with the Maine Health Access Foundation, focuses on uninsured Mainers with incomes that qualify them for a MaineCare plan, or assistance paying for a plan via HealthCare.gov.

We're excited to play a role in helping thousands of Mainers get covered because, as we say in our ads, "Health insurance can make all the difference in your life."
Know somebody who needs healthcare coverage?
Tell them about CoverME.gov —but hurry:
some options end December 15!
