Summer 2020 is in full swing and very different from anything we imagined it would be six months ago. Most of the traditional holiday and social events have been either postponed or cancelled and for the most part staycations will have to suffice. The good news is that we may find ourselves with a bit more free time to appreciate what we have, start a new hobby or good book, enjoy nature, and reconnect with family and close friends. Fortunately, O,R & L Construction has remained busy and productive in these uncertain times and we are deeply grateful for all our clients, consultants and alliances that keep us looking ahead to the future. Featured Project: INLINE PLASTICS, Inc.   Renovation -  50,000 Sq. Ft. Warehouse, Shelton, CT

O,R&L Construction announces the completion of a 50,000 Sq. Ft. Warehouse Renovation for Inline Plastics in Shelton, CT . The Building had been abandoned for decades and many experts recommended to tear it down and build new.

O,R&L diligently worked with the owner to preserve the existing structure. We replaced the saw tooth - 3 cape cod style roof lines - with a new membrane roof; and designed and installed a new sprinkler system in accordance with Inline’s insurance underwriter to accommodate the restricted head space. New lighting, OH door access, and many other facility improvements were part of the package to create new warehouse and storage space to support the 250,000 sq. ft. manufacturing complex with a logistically dynamic product flow.

Our Team worked closely with the Town of Shelton and its city Revival Program, installing concrete sidewalk, brick paver apron and granite curbing along Howe Ave. to promote the new neighborhood concept.

New Technologies - CSAIL Robot A team from MIT’s  Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory  (CSAIL), in collaboration with  Ava Robotics  and the  Greater Boston Food Bank  (GBFB), designed a new robotic system that powerfully disinfects surfaces and neutralizes aerosolized forms of the coronavirus.
