Greetings!
Hello - My name is Jill Cain Bailey, and I was recently appointed by the City of Fort Wright to serve as your new City Administrator. Many of you may remember my predecessor Ed Butler, who is now Chief Deputy at the Kenton County Detention Center.
As City Administrator, I serve as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the City, and will primarily be responsible for carrying out the policies established by Mayor Hatter and the Fort Wright City Council, oversee day-to-day operations of the organization, and supervise City Department Heads. I also serve as the Personnel Director, Alcohol & Beverage Control Officer and the Fort Wright Public Relations Officer. Additional responsibilities include economic development, financial management, policy formulation, and special project and general construction oversight. I report directly to Mayor Hatter and serve under his guidance and direction.
I proudly join the Fort Wright Community with over 20 years of experience in local government management. Previously, I have been employed as the CAO of the City of Taylor Mill, a staff assistant to former U.S. Senator Wendell Ford and a Customer Service Supervisor for Huntington National Bank of Northern Kentucky. I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and have a minor in Speech Communications.
It has been my privilege to serve as a member of the International City Management Association (ICMA); Past President of the KY City/County Management Association (KCCMA); Past President of the N. KY City/County Management Association (NKCCMA);
