2019 BRIDGES Youth Leadership Institute Grads! 
We celebrate the 31 graduates who recently completed our Youth Leadership Institute. Diverse youth from 15 schools across OC met for a 5-day institute geared toward developing leadership skills and empowering youth to improve human relations within their own schools by taking a stand against hate.

New Partnership with
City of Santa Ana

Our Dispute Resolution team is excited to take on a new focus of PREVENTING disputes through training and workshops. We just initiated a partnership with the City of Santa Ana to assist with Mediation and Conflict Resolution by providing regular Conflict Management outreach and small workshops in the community. 

RJ Team's Impact Increases

Our Restorative Justice (RJ) team is widening its net and impacting even more educators by offering training opportunities and presentations to school teachers and staff. As a result, an increasing number of educators are including restorative justice practices in their classrooms.

Dispute Resolution Internships
DRP is excited to announce the continued success of our 120-hour internship program. This year, we have already certified four interns! Congratulations, and thank you all for your valued service to the OC courts and general community.

Internship opportunities are available to college students who live and/or study in Orange County.

Police Community Reconciliation Program  

The Police Community Reconciliation Program (PCRP) is a collaborative effort of OC Human Relations, OC Sheriff, California Highway patrol, and all local law enforcement departments with OC Human Relations Commission that provides an opportunity for law enforcement and community members to reconcile their concerns by providing safe spaces for education, while ensuring cultural sensitivity and confidentiality.  

Maureen Dadabhoy , (714-480-6579), Commission staff, is committed to serving OC with the support of law enforcement. To request a confidential consultation, click the button below. Commission staff reviews and responds to requests within 72 hours. 

We Join the 2020 Census Community Table

25% of Orange County (nearly 800,000 individuals!) are considered Hard-to-Count in the 2020 Census. We've joined Charitable Ventures and the OC Census Community Table, a diverse group of funders and nonprofit partners, to conduct Census outreach & engagement for our Hard-to-Count communities in Orange County.
