FVH Named a Top 100 CAH
Floyd Valley Healthcare has been named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) in the US by The Chartis Center for Rural Health for the 4th year in a row . Regarded as one of the industry’s most significant designations of performance excellence, the annual Top 100 CAH award is based upon the results of the Hospital Strength INDEX® from iVantage Health Analytics. There are 1,348 CAHs in the US. Of the 82 CAHs in Iowa, 15 were recognized in the Top 100.

Meet Our Hot Shot - Maxine
Maxine is a fun-loving, smiley nine year old. During her four month well baby check with Dr. Steve Meis, he noticed that Maxine had a cataract in her left eye. He consulted with pediatrician Dr. Jolene Meis for immediate confirmation. Maxine was referred to a pediatric ophthalmologist in Omaha for treatment. That physician assured the family that this early diagnoses by her family care physician helped save her vision.
