  • And more

Join us on Thursday, March 11 at 1:00 pm EST (10:00 am PST) for an HPBA members-only webinar for retailers, reps, and distributors for the answers to these questions and more. In the meantime, be sure to review HPBA’s tax credit website page for FAQs and other resources.

Energy Choice Bill Enacted in Utah
Utah Governor Spencer Cox has signed a bill to preserve energy choice for the citizens of Utah, prohibiting the state from banning fuel options, including natural gas and propane. HB-17, is described by the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Steve Handy, as “prohibit[ing] municipalities and counties from restricting the connection of certain energy utility services.” Utah joins Arizona and Tennessee in prohibiting local communities from mandating forced electrification. HPBA and most of the HPBA Affiliates are supporting similar legislation in over a dozen states. For more information, contact John Crouch.

When: Friday, June 25th, 9:45am

Based on his three-time #1 best-selling book of the same name, in this class Michael will share his personal journey with stress and how he dealt with both the typical and unusual physical impacts he experienced.

He will share with you why he believes stress often goes undiagnosed and dismissed as the possible cause of significant physical damage and how you can be your own best advocate.
He will also share some of his 15 Key Learnings and what you can do to help effectively manage not only the stress in your life but your team’s and those you love.

Michael Levin is President and CEO of Custom Solutions. He has launched numerous companies and built them into multi-million-dollar entities. He is a three-time #1 International Best-Selling author.  His books include his #1 inspirational best-seller “Let Them See You Sweat” along with “Sitting on the Same Side of the Table: The Art of Collaborative Selling”.

Class: Embracing and Driving Powerful Positive Change in Your Organization
When: Friday, June 25th, 11:00am

Embracing Change is about how to not only get your people to embrace change but actually lead and drive that change.

In this talk, Michael Levin will share why change is so difficult for companies to create and why change that does occur so frequently becomes “Flavor of the Month”.

You will learn his number #1 key that companies fail to do that is absolutely essential for your team to be open to change and how to implement that key. You will also learn the three stages that he believes must occur to create not only change that is embraced but change that is sustained.

StoveTeam International and the Hearth of Gold
What is the Hearth of Gold Campaign? An opportunity to show the world the power of stoves.

Around the world, four million people die every year from smoke inhalation due to cooking over open fires. You are invited to join HPBA member businesses currently partnering with the aid organization StoveTeam International to build stoves for families in Latin America.

There are many ways to take part. Here are some ideas:

  • Retailers: Include a donation toward the purchase of one life-saving cookstove with every purchase over a certain amount. Each $100 cookstove saves an average family of almost eight people from the danger of smoke and burns.
  • Distributors: Offset your carbon footprint through the direct donation of cookstoves. Each $100 cookstove offsets about 15 tons of CO2!

StoveTeam is offering many ways to take part, free customizable materials to support each business, and an online system that allows businesses to collaborate or compete. See full details and take action at stoveteam.org/hpba or email [email protected].
Operation BBQ Relief Update

HPBA continues to do what it can to support OBR and its important work. We encourage our members to do the same! To read more about OBR's latest projects, check out their website.
